1. Introduction

Welcome to Puub ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Puub mobile application, website, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Puub, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use Puub. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you meet our age requirements and are legally permitted to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages in your jurisdiction.

2.2 Verification

We reserve the right to verify your age and identity at any time. We may require additional documentation or information to confirm your eligibility to use our Service.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use Puub, you must create an account with accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach of your account.

3.3 One Account Per Person

Users are limited to one account per person. Multiple accounts owned by the same person may be terminated.

4. Service Description

4.1 Digital Pint Service

Puub enables users to send digital pints to other users, which can be redeemed at participating pubs. A digital pint represents a prepaid drink that can be redeemed according to these Terms.

4.2 Payment Authorization

When sending a pint, you authorize a payment hold of £10.00. The final charge will be the actual drink price plus a platform fee of £0.50 when the recipient redeems the pint.

4.3 Participating Pubs

Pints can only be redeemed at participating pubs listed in the app. Pub participation may vary and is subject to change.

5. Payments and Fees

5.1 Payment Methods

We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payment information must be accurate and current.

5.2 Platform Fees

- Platform fee: £0.50 per redeemed pint
- Payment processing fees may apply
- All fees are non-refundable unless required by law

5.3 Currency

All transactions are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).

6. Redemption Rules

6.1 Expiration

- Digital pints expire 30 days after being sent
- Expired pints cannot be redeemed or refunded
- Users are responsible for tracking expiration dates

6.2 Redemption Process

- Pints must be redeemed in person at participating pubs
- Valid photo ID may be required for redemption
- Pubs reserve the right to refuse service
- Redemption is subject to pub operating hours and availability

7. Refunds and Cancellations

7.1 Refund Policy

- Unredeemed pints may be refunded within 24 hours of purchase
- Redeemed pints are non-refundable
- Refunds will be processed to the original payment method

7.2 Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel transactions and terminate accounts for:
- Suspected fraud
- Violation of these Terms
- Legal compliance requirements
- Technical errors

8. User Conduct

8.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:
- Use the Service for illegal purposes
- Send pints to minors
- Create multiple accounts
- Manipulate prices or redemption processes
- Interfere with the Service's operation
- Reverse engineer the app
- Resell or transfer pints
- Harass other users or pub staff

8.2 Content Guidelines

User-generated content must not:
- Promote excessive drinking
- Contain offensive material
- Violate others' rights
- Include false or misleading information

9. Privacy and Data Protection

9.1 Privacy Policy

Your use of Puub is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9.2 Data Usage

We collect and process data in accordance with:

- Applicable local regulations

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Ownership

All content, features, and functionality of Puub are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Puub for its intended purpose.

11. Disclaimers and Limitations

11.1 Service Availability

- Service provided "as is" and "as available"
- No guarantee of continuous availability
- We may modify or discontinue features
- Technical issues may affect service

11.2 Liability Limitations

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Lost profits or data
- Service interruptions
- Third-party actions
- User misconduct

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

12.2 Dispute Process

- Informal resolution attempt required
- 30-day notice before formal proceedings
- Exclusive jurisdiction in English courts
- Class action waiver

13. Changes to Terms

13.1 Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Service.

14. Termination

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Puub regarding the Service.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

15.3 No Waiver

Failure to enforce any right will not constitute a waiver.
